Thore helped build my house extension - so I helped design his!
Recently purchased, the clients wished to replace a small poorly constructed rear lean-to with a new living & dining space that would form the heart of their home. The client brief was to provide a new rear extension and suggest internal renovations that would maximise the living space while allowing a plenty of light and a direct connection to the garden.
A simple plan removed removed internal and connected the kitchen and dining spaces into a large open plan living space. Clad externally in untreated cedar strips, the form and materials intend to stand out as a modern home while respecting the surrounding buildings. New aluminium bi-fold doors combine with a large rooflight to flood the extension with natural light.
