The clients wished to extend their existing terrace house to provide a new living, kitchen & dining space that would form the heart of their home. The brief was to provide a new rear extension and suggest internal renovations that would maximise the living space while allowing a plenty of light and space for their young family.
A simple plan filled in the side and extended the rear, relocating the kitchen internally so that the new extension forms the dining and living spaces directly accessing the light and views into the garden. A new picture frame protruding window seat acts as a focus for the living space, allowing the family to sit and relax in a cosy nook while the activities of the house happen around them.
